CFD Simulation & Validation Engineer

Generate and validate the high-fidelity CFD simulations that support model training and evaluation, ensuring datasets are physically and numerically defensible.

• Set up and execute simulations with OpenFOAM, PyFR, or equivalent solvers.
• Develop and validate RANS, LES, and other high-fidelity workflows.
• Generate meshes and conduct grid-independence studies.
• Assess turbulence models, discretization, boundary conditions, and convergence.
• Verify and validate against experiments and trustworthy references.
• Automate simulation setup, execution, and post-processing.
• Deliver clean field and integrated-force datasets for ML researchers.
• Document numerical assumptions, uncertainty, and limitations.

• Strong fluid mechanics and numerical methods.
• Hands-on OpenFOAM, PyFR, or commercial CFD solver experience.
• Understanding of RANS and LES.
• Mesh generation, convergence analysis, and solver validation.
• Python, C++, or scientific computing programming.
• Ability to diagnose numerical instability and questionable results.

• Wall-resolved LES and high-order solvers.
• HPC and MPI-based CFD.
• Compressible or hypersonic flow.
• Automated meshing and parametric simulation campaigns.

Deliver accurate, traceable, reproducible simulation datasets suitable for rigorous model training and evaluation.
